The applets in the chapter are meant as an introduction to switch-level simulation and demonstrate a few basic relay-based circuits.

Interactive switches and relays are used as the simulation components, and the resulting circuits look very simple. However, a modified simulation algorithm is required for switch-level simulation, because the circuit topology changes whenever a switch is opened or closed. The description for the first applet below (introduction) includes a short overview of the swich-level simulation algorithm used in Hades. The next chapter introduces switch-level models of MOS-transistors and logic gates.
