Circuit Description

A PIC16-based ultrasonic range detector (tapebox), designed and published in EPE online magazine, November 1998. A local copy of the original article with a full description and detailed build-instructions.

As Hades does not (yet) support analog components, it is impossible to model the ultrasonic transmitter, sound reflection, and the receiver and amplifier. Instead, a simple digital delay line is used in the applet to simulate the analog world. Just change the delays of the inverters and the XOR gate to simulate the delay of the actual ultrasonic sound reflection.
