01.12.2020  DFG-funded research project DexMan started.
Together with researchers from Bielefeld University the project studies dexterous manipulation with multi-fingered robot hands. See the DFG Gepris project description for further information.

  STEP2DYNA workshop and project meeting. We will organize the fourth project meeting for the STEP2DYNA project, working towards an innovative bio-inspired sensor system for collision detection. further information.

  CML Summerschool 2017. The second CML summerschool and General Assembly meeting took place in Hamburg. Information on project website.

01.01.2016  New project Crossmodal Learning started. We announce the start of our four-year interdisciplinary project Crossmodal Learning, jointly funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Chinese National Science Foundation (NSFC). The project consists of 16 individual research projects and 3 integration projects. CML project website.

09.10.2015  Biggest international robotics conference IROS 2015 successfully hosted
„The IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems“ IROS has been held from Sep. 28 to Oct. 4, 2015 at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) and was organized by the TAMS group with support from the Department of Informatics of the University Hamburg. On Oct. 3 and 4 also the open-source software conference for robotics ROSCon 2015 took place at the University of Hamburg.

01.01.2007  Start of our MING-T project
Today marks the start of our two-year project MING-T. Funded by the EC as part of the FP6 programme, and as a cooperation between European and Chinese partners, the project aims to research and develop solutions for interoperability and handover between mobile broadcast and mobile communication systems. 25.09.2006  CINACS Summer School 2006
From Sep. 25.-29. the first summer school of the CINACS graduate colleg will be held at the MIN Faculty of the University of Hamburg. It will be the first meeting with all participants of China and Germany together. Furthermore an open-for-all opening symposium for our german- chinese collaboration concerning CINACS will be held at the University Hospital Eppendorf on Sep. 28.
