In the exercises we will use Python with common libraries
(e.g. matplotlib, numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorflow, keras)
to get hands-on experience with data science, data visualization,
and different machine learning algorithms.
We will also play with some of the standard benchmark datasets
(e.g. MNIST).
There will be weekly assignments, plus one slightly bigger (2-3 weeks) project assignment near the end of the semester. Every student is expected to present their solutions (and code) a few times during the semester. We have enough computers for each pair of students, and we will spend the first week or so to introduce the fundamentals of Python. You can also bring your own laptop; in this case, please make sure to install Python and the required libraries. |
