27.10. 3D Global Shape Descriptors Applied in Scan Registration

Zusammenfassung: In this talk, I will propose a novel framework for 3D point clouds registration, which recovers the rotation and translation successively and separately. Specifically, I will introduce two different 3D global shape descriptors, and talk about how to apply the global shape descriptors to scan registration task according to this novel framework. Meanwhile, examples and experiments validating the theories are also presented.
